EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning aerial photograph captures the picturesque farms of rural Germany, frozen in time on a delicate glass plate. Taken in 1920 by the talented photographer Arthur Traube, this image showcases the beauty of the German countryside from a unique perspective.
Using an early Uvachrome 3 color process invented by Dr. Traube himself, this rare and faded photo required extensive color correction to bring out its full vibrancy. Despite its age, the details of each farm and field are still visible, giving us a glimpse into life in rural Germany nearly a century ago.
The rolling hills, meandering river, and charming bridges all add to the scenic beauty of this landscape captured from above. The birds-eye view allows us to appreciate the vastness and tranquility of nature as it spreads out before us.
As we gaze upon this vintage photograph, we can't help but be transported back in time to an era when life was simpler and more connected to the land. It serves as a reminder of our agricultural roots and how important farming has been throughout history.
This timeless piece by Arthur Traube is not just a photograph - it's a window into another world that continues to inspire awe and admiration today.
