Apollo command module hatch. This hatch was redesigned after the Apollo 1 preflight test fire, to make it easier to open. The fire killed all 3 crew members on board. The Apollo 1 door opened inwards and took a minimum of 90 seconds to open due to several latches that had to be operated by ratchets.
